A Little bit of History
Meet the owners! Doti & Vangelis both come from Volos and have been
enjoying Mount Pelion since their childhood. They decided to purchase
the lot where Villa Doti now stands in 1976, envisaging to build a
holiday home there to visit during the summer period. It was not until
1990 that Building One was completed and served as a holiday home for
family and friends. Vangelis named the new house "Villa Doti" after the
name of his beloved wife Doti. In 1996 Doti and Vangelis decided to
open their house to holiday travellers and lovers of Mount Pelion. The
first to come were German guests, who drove all the way from Germany
with their families to spend their holidays in Pelion. In 2000 Doti &
Vangelis started doing business with Tapestry Holidays Ltd, serving
holiday travelers from the United Kingdom. In 2002 Building Two was
completed in an effort to increase capacity and serve more guests. After
the interruption of their collaboration with Tapestry Holidays Ltd, Doti &
Vangelis decided to reopen their summer resort to the people who have
declared themselves as ‘lovers of Kalamos and of Villa Doti’s cosy and
high quality hospitality’. This is a new proposition made to people
considered guests rather than impersonal clients of a big tour operator.
